Our Philosophy:
Us
The philosphy at subtle as a fish is simple:
“to develop websites which are not only clean and easy to read with an intuitive navigation system, but which also have a strong sense of visual appeal and identity”
With this in mind, we ensure our sites are developed (and maintained) to exceed the current industry standards. We keep abreast of changes in the standards and laws, and take pride in hand crafting every site from the bottom up. This will not only keep your website's code clean and easy to read, but make your pages load faster for your users.
As technology becomes even more apart of our lives, and people are accessing the Internet not only from a variety of locations, but with a variety of devices (PDAs, Mobile Phones, etc), developing a website that adheres to the W3Cs Web Standards will ensure that the website can be viewed using any device. This has obvious benefits for you in terms of the number of people able to access your website, and minimises the cost of redevelopment to include these other devices as their popularity grows.
Accessibilty is a major concern for us at subtle as a fish, and as the UK government starts to enforce the Disability Discrimination Act, it needs to be for your company too.
We develop websites to be forward thinking, taking into consideration future developments of browsers and accessibility issues. This does not mean that your website will be boring, but rather that it will be visually stimulating without the need for a major update the next time Internet Explorer is updated or the government begins to prosecute websites that do not meet the Disability Discrimination Act guidelines.
You
At subtle as a fish we believe in listening to our clients. We value your input and will always meet the agreed deadlines. We respond quickly to emails and phone messages. We won't dazzle or confuse you with buzz words or technologies and make you feel like you are out of the loop. We talk your language and will help familarise you with the basic concepts that you will come accross during the development your website.
